2007 Is Off And Running

The year of our Lord 2007 is off and running,
are you and I running with it as we should?
Are we faithful Christians, always doing good?
If we so desire, we can be what we should!
There are souls who are needing to be saved.
For due to our own sins we all have roamed
The beginning place is with your own soul!
You can’t lead where you have never gone!
We are the "lower lights" that must be burning;
Warning others of the dangers here below;
As we follow the perfect example Jesus left;
Where ever He leads we may confidently go!
We do some things as a collective of saints
This is known as "the local congregation;"
Each under the oversight of her own elders;
We are to carry out some of these obligations!
Our morals must truly be biblically based;
This standard doesn’t change with the times:
Right and wrong are not in a state of flux;
Wrong is wrong and right always shines!
Homosexuality, fornication and adultery;
Will still damn the unforgiven of such sins;
Lying, stealing, drunkenness and coveting
Unless forgiven will still face an awful end!
Our worst besetting sin is not doing what we know;
When we know to do good and do it not it is sin and so;
Will bar the gate to heaven if we die while in that state:
So why not resolve that in 2007 to open up that gate?
