JUDGING LIKE THE LORD

     We live in a world where a person's worth is often judged
on the basis of looks.  The sad thing about this is that we have the power to 
destroy people's lives by our reactions to
their appearances.  The poorly dressed, the fat, the poverty
stricken, the ugly, the minorities -- are some whose character
may be first class but they are shunned by the prejudiced.

     Friend, you sin if you show partiality because of a person'
s appearance (Jas. 2:9).

     We need to be more like our Lord.  He looks upon the heart, not upon the 
outward appearance.  He is no respector
of persons.

     No matter how a person looks or how he is dressed, no
matter how sinful a person may appear to be, we should treat
all people like we want the Lord to treat us.  --- Unknown.
