Why No Recent Poems?

First it’s nice to hear you missed them;
But the reason is so simple to explain;
I just haven’t been feeling like writing;
Since such demands one use one’s brains!
 
When the ole body starts complaining;
Then every tasks becomes a major chore;
Probably it you’ve reached seventy six;
Then I probably need not say much more!
 
However by now I’m feeling much better;
See, the proof’s before your own eyes;
For I am back once again composing;
What I’ll just call poetry in disguise!
