Here's another uncorrected copy of a poem I composed this afternoon. Any
typos or other corrections you see needing attention you have my permission

If I Truly Love Jesus

If I truly love Jesus, He and others will know;
For one cannot love Jesus and not let it show:
They’ll see one who tries with each waking hour;
To learn more about Him, His word I’ll devour!
If I truly love Jesus, each decision will be made;
From principles in His word even my job my trade:
The words that I speak will always be with grace;
I will love all men of every color and every race!
I will be concerned for the souls of my fellow man;
I’ll use every opportunity to tell them the gospel plan:
How God so loved that He gave His only begotten Son;
Who died and arose providing salvation for every one!
I will try and not fall prey to Satan’s immoral allures;
From the "works of the flesh" I will try to stay pure;
I’ll not redefine sin as it appears many are doing;
The definition Christ’s word gives is forever enduring!
I will be His disciple, following His word and deeds;
I will not be led astray by men’s uninspired creeds:
"If you love Me, keep My commandments" Jesus said;
Than to disregard His word I would rather be dead!
