CHRISTIAN SOLDIER

Somewhere, a soldier has fallen in battle
His armor is now laid to rest.
He's answered the call of our Master,
To Whom he has given his best.

His work in God's Kingdom is finished,
His voice for the Savior is stilled,
His place in the Father's Vineyard
Cannot by another be filled.

His cares of this life are now over,
The Father has ended his pain,
He's now gone to a happy reunion,
To greet loved ones again.

And there they await the Redeemer,
Who will one day His legacy share,
And our goal to that land seems dearer,
Since this Christian Soldier is there.
